Nothing makes you feel quite like an adult more than purchasing art.
I bought a painting by Nazim Ozel, an artist and musician of 30 years who currently lives and works in San Francisco. His work was on display at an art show in front of the De Young in Golden Gate park on Sunday. I don’t think he took me very seriously at first, but who can blame him. At any rate, I love the painting, and I didn’t have to break the bank to get it - although without Lisa’s help, I would have been thwarted by the ATM daily withdrawal limit.
As it turns out, Nazim is also a reknowned experimental musician. Though it’s not really my scene, I do think it would be quite interesting to see him play this thing some day.
