electric relaxation

I know I’m taking this old-school thing a little overboard, but anyway I watched the two-part premier last weekend. I feel like the show holds up admirably given the test of time; it doesn’t stack up well against something like The Shield but it’s still miles ahead of the countless two-bit action/adventure drama series that soak up off-hours on The WB or FX. Plus near the end of the second episode there’s a really dope sequence with Phil Collins’ In the Air Tonight. They play the entire track but have a cool driving scene and a dramatic phone call laid over the top. In fact, it’s good enough to rip out and add to my music library, which is the plan.
