The three juggernauts are Saravana Bhavan, Dasa Prakash, and Komala Vilas. Actually, KV really isn’t in the same category as the first two, I just have an affection for its authentic Tamil ghetto-fab style – you gotta love a place where you sit at fold out tables next to shelves full of old computer parts and a ping pong table.
Dasa Prakash used to hold the crown, but IMO, Saravana Bhavan has taken the lead in recent months. I guess everyone else must have already figured this out, since Dasa Prakash seems pretty deserted these days.
